working hours

I am having a great difficulty in spending 8 hours in the office, for the last 10 years i was the first one to arrive and last one to leave types but in last 4 months i have changed into last one to arrive and first one to leave. Some of my Symptoms are:

1. I find my boss Incompetent.
2. I find my subordinates are good for nothing.
3. I feel the systems and procedures we follow in the company are highly non professional.
4. I feel my career has come to a dead end.
5. This job is not what i was promised.
6. The other department heads have negative responsibility and workload compared to me within our company.

Can anyone do a diognosis based on above symptoms?

P.S: Cannot afford to quit this job unless i find a better one.

dear vikas,

this reminds me of..'have you ever noticed how the guy driving faster than you is a maniac..and the guy driving slower than you is an idiot?..'

jokes apart, there is only ONE solution bro (if you r really looking for a solution i.e )

WE ALL NEED TO FALL IN LOVE ONCE MORE.(desperately). period.

is it going to be too difficult?

May be you are right again rip, i guess this has more to do with afterwork hours life.

definitely..find a damsel in similar distress and pour your 'stuff' out..

dear shuv,

when will u ever come out of your juvenile management strategies??

..they r good only when you are trying to 'sell' something to a prospective 'buyer'.

here..nobody is selling..and there is no buyer..

dear bro..'management strategies' fail pathetically in matters of the heart...you can look at the top corporates ..and you'll know.

..have you never fallen in love or what??

rip: why dont u go fuck yourself? or i have a better idea..next time we have a blogger's meet in blore, dont chicken out..show up and i would do it for u.

dear shuv, what an exiting offer!!
you sounded so macho and kinky pal..i just cant wait.

hey bro, remember i had suggested earlier to watch the movie 'anger management'....it could actually cure you...or atleast help you identify your problem!

till then..chill brother.

scout: Thanks for the holy suggestion.
RIP:Righteous as ever, thanks.

but i will take shuvs advice and start hunting.....

dear vikas, as you go hunting..just remember..

to change the choice..the chooser must change..

if you go searching with the same pair of eyes..you will keep finding the same kind of people..you will keep making the same kind of mistakes..and you will keep experiencing the same kind of misery....so...

as for dear shuv, he is the most wonderful person around. i know that...and i mean it.

I only wish he could calm down a bit...

RIP: I have no problem with the bunch of people i have found over the years but they are not around is the problem.

what i should be looking for is a pick up joint.

i am sure you have more experience as a professional than me. but i would suggest one thing. just stick to it. because the grass is always greener on the other side. tell me who didn't have complaints like you?

yet, at the end of the month, you get a good package. so uncork that bottle.

Vikas said...

Thanks Ghetu, you are right. i will stay putt.

Viks: First time visiting your post. We met fleetingly in Bangalore when you and Loki had visited.

I kind of identify with your problem. But having done a hop skip jump quite a few times I thinks Ghetu's is the best bet for you.

By the way, if you find a solution to deal with it do pass it on to me.

they say..whole life we climb higher and higher up in the ladder only to reach on top and find that that the ladder is leaning on the wrong wall!

dude...the problem is not in the ladder...the problem is in the wall!!

Happiness and security are unfortunately not on top of the same wall..

Vikas said...

thanks for dropping by kaushik, i guess i have found the solution. I will work harder here and agressively start looking for a the "right job" even if the job would not be what i expect i will settle down for a huge salary.

Vikas said...

rip: in most cases they are on the top of same wall specially if you climb the ladder of money to reach the top of the wall.

dear vikas, have you heard of the 'monk who sold his ferrari'?...

...may be he found something that money could not buy...

Vikas said...

I wouldnt mind doing the same but first give me the ferrari.

Rip: I cant believe this. You read these self help book. :o) Just joking mate. Yeah it is a good book. But in the realm of fantasy. What you say makes sense but not for me or may be for Vikas. Its just that there are too many options before us.

Anonymous said...

ha! ha! dear kaushik,..u r right.. this book is far from a good book,in fact it is an apology even for a self help book!

but.. the theme is relevent...you know,..the leading character in this book ( an extremely successful lawyer) stops to 'think'..only when he gets a heart attack because of his 'successful' lifestyle.!

dear friend..what age r u waiting for..to realise what you want from life??....whatever happened to the Alchemist bro?...the voice which lies deep within all of us...reminding that we are but on an ephemeral road??

..if you really think 'options' would change your life..just take a look at all those people who have already achieved those options....

as u know..even if u win the rat race...you r still a rat.

RIP,
When you have used ALL the cliches in that book of yours, can I borrow it, please????

Anonymous said...

dear dd, i'm so elated to see your eagerness to borrow the book....but i'd prefer that u buy the book yourself...you know..its not good to survive on 'borrowed' knowledge....

..just one more thing..(as i've found you quite rational person..)can u tell me what exactly has made you upset???
