Australian leaders

The prime minister of Australia admitted last month that he had a drinking problem 4-5 years ago and even addressed parliament drunk.
The leader of opposition last week admitted that he had gone to a strip joint 4 years ago on a official trip to USA and was so drunk that he did not know what all he did.
Both news were in media for hardly one day each. Chake de Australia

ha ha... chak de australia indeed. but what i felt abt the country was that the people are pretty self-absorbed and fun-loving... aka dumb enuf not to care. you-know-what-i-mean? no disrespect.

btw, i think your john howard is an idiot.

Thats what i love about them, they absolutely dont care about anything but for two things. One is themselves and two is being Australian.

Every one here thinks the same too on John Howard being a stupid. The maximum number of jokes on an Australian are on him. But he has done wonders to the economy and infrastructure of the country.
Other good thing about him is that he takes a stand on issues and backs himself up and doesnt care at all about the opposition/allies/media, till now he has done an excellent job.

:D trust shuv to come up with a remark like that! hehehe.
vikas, i don't think that just cos howard takes a stand it makes him morally superior. he is quite repressive i think.

I am curious why you think Howard is repressive, if i tell this to an aussie he will die laughing.
I never said he is morally superior all i meant was he is idiot, funny and a joker allright but he is an excellent prime minister and that is what he is supposed to be and the that is the whole aussie culture they just remain what they are supposed to be and do a good job of it.
They dont care about anything else.

i agree with u on many points. maybe i didnt explain it well... howard is great for the white aussies, but he doesnt do much for the minorities i feel... that's all i meant..
and the majority of aussies dont care abt that so they are happy

I get your point now scout but i think this minorities shit has ruined india and many other countries. Here people(migrants) are welcomed as aussies, if they feel they are minority or different then it is thr problem but if they feel they are part of australian way of life they will not even feel they are different.
I have not come across any kind of racism in last 15 months not even subtle.

I will give you 2 examples to get my point across:

1. Dr. Mohammad Haneef could have walked free out of Australian System only, his work visa is also being given back to him now.

2. Imam of Australia had commented few months ago that the clothes australian women wear are not right or provocative or some thing like that i dont exacltly remember. He was asked to shut up by the prime minister and told that if they dont like it he can go back to the country where he comes from "we dont comment on muslim women wearing burkha so you better dont comment on our lifestyle".
The Imam was sacked the next week by muslim people and publicly apologised for his statements.

The point is they respect you for what you are to the point where you dont impose yourself on them.

good point vikas. i completely agree that if u go to another country you should try to assimilate into their culture.

lick..lick..lick..lick..hi vikas how does an australian ass smell..?

you can go on appreciating australians or may even die for it...but u'll remain an indian..by birth..sorry bro..real sorry!

a leopard cannot change its spots.

the problem is..if u had migrated to poland..u wud hv said the same things about the polish...

u just need an excuse to throw your shit at india...it helps u to rationalise your own shortcomings...

just like a man who likes to blame his parents for every stupid mistakes he has commited....

it has nothing to do with australia..or the australians.

lick..lick..lick..ass bro...afterall that seems to be yr speciality..

RIP: you have lost it shithead. Did you have a bad day at work or home? Your comment was totally irrelevant to this post. You did not get the point AGAIN.
I will try to make it simple for you, it is just a matter of appreciating something better like you must be wearing pants everyday rather than wearing a khadi lungi. You chose to adapt to something you found better, does that mean that you are abusing all indians and licking english asses?

It is allright to be judgemental if you understand what other person means. DO NOT write a comment for the sake of seeking attention.

dear vikas..any person with a little understanding would realise the implications of 'chak de australia..'

its little bit more than 'just' appreciation..

i was never against appreciating any nation or any person..just dont do it at the cost of degrading yourself or your own nation....its not needed..

one more thing...tomorrow if u see a 'better' set of parents..what would u do..?go and start living with them..?... compare and demean your own parents in public for not being like them....
..for not being able to provide the same facilities as the other parents..or would u jump into the arms of another set of parents simply because they r better looking people..?

the word 'better' does not apply in all the cases..i guess.

dear scout..im a stupid person...and would prefer to remain that way for the rest of my life...
'stupidity' is anyday better than pseudo intelligence..

Vikas said...

rip: commonsense is better that stupidity.
If you look at things in a certain way dont think that others do too.
It is just a matter of having a broader perspective, you might be thinking that I hate india or bollywood but surprise surprise i love India and am biggest bollywood fan but thr are things i hate about India as well and the same goes for Australia.
